It was my first time to cover an event like this, an event where greatness lives on. The event was dedicated to the birthday of the late great Francis Magalona (October 4, 1964 – March 6, 2009) along side with FMCC’s 4th Anniversary, the Master Rapper’s clothing line that showed a way of his legacy: A Filipino rapper, entrepreneur, songwriter, producer, actor, director, and photographer.
The Exhibit was held in Outerspace Gallery at The Collective, Makati City. A week long exhibit witnessed by many fans, friends, media and celebrities. We were enlisted in the group of bloggers together with my buddy and officemate Rommell Ardenio of melardenio.com, thank you for the great acceptance and invitation, Sir Jeman Villanueva via Orange Magazine TV.
This your suspect, posing with some of FrancisM’s Record Sales Awards.
A collection of awards, recognitions from different award giving bodies from music to film industry. It just really shows that he was not just an ordinary artist, but had been an extra-ordinary, full of talent artist.
Below photos are his collection of tons of TOYS.
Photos shown below are FrancisM’s Photography masterpieces.
On the right: These were the authentic dresses he has worn during concerts and showbiz days.
This photo on the left shows how the master rapper lived in a childlike wonder world, his passion on collecting comics. Also on the photo is my partner in crime, Mmell of melardenio.com.
Photos below show how he was during his long stint in showbiz that started when he was still a teen-ager.
A long file of fans and friends to pay visit at the exhibit showed on the photos below.
The event also showcased some side events like tattoo booth, mini concert at the B-Side (featuring Gloc-9 and Elmo Magalona), sound tripping thru the beats of DJ Kimosave and Arvie Won while the fans outside went street break-dancing.
A media man covering the event for a certain TV Network. Kapuso ba? hehehe..
With Sir Jeman Villanueva, the man responsible for taking us in the event.
Pictures with the key people responsible for the event and of course with your partners in crime, myself and Mmell.
And the event wouldn’t be completed without a picture of one of FrancisM’s lovely daughter, Maxene. I was actually looking for Saab, but she wasn’t around that time. Di bale next time!
Thank you Sir Jeman and Orange Magazine TV for inviting us and a chance of meeting you at FMCC and FrancisM’s Exhibit. Also, I loved the shirt you gave me. Thanks and enjoy the pictures.
