L.P. Bet Risa Hontiveros Fell on Stage

 

Akbayan Rep. Risa Hontiveros-Baraquel suddenly fell down while speaking onstage at the party's miting de avance at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.  A torn ligament in her right knee was the reason why the gorgeous Liberal Party senatorial bet fell down on stage.

Hontiveros had been leading the crowd in chanting "Nobody nobody but Mar" when she turned to point to LP vice presidential candidate Senator Manuel "Mar" Roxas II, who was sitting right behind her. Apparently, the abrupt movement twisted her right knee.
"She couldn’t stand and was in deep pain and was rushed out of the stage on a stretcher," the statement read.

Celebrity Kris Aquino, sister of LP standard bearer Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, was among those who quickly rushed to Hontiveros' side.
