Showbiz reporter Marie Lozano tweeted on May 4: “Just got a text from BUZZ host Jobert Sucaldito, His reaction to Willie trying to get him fired from the station ‘Kaloka sya. Pikon sobra’,” . This words came out after Willie’s challenge or dare to their mother network to fire Jobert out of all ABSCBN’s shows including DZMM.
Jobert Sucaldito has put into words how he feels about Willie Revillame's call to ABS-CBN management to choose between them. On May 4, Revillame threatened to resign from his noontime show, “Wowowee,” if the ABS-CBN management does not to fire Sucaldito.
Later that evening, the entertainment writer told “TV Patrol World” in an interview that the threat is unfair.
“I don’t think that’s fair, you challeng the management that if they don’t take me out, Willie will resign. You don’t have to go that far, we are all working in the same network. If Willie doesn’t like what news is writing, he’ll get mad. It’s okay. Like if we will write against his wrong doings, he’ll put all the hell in you.” Sucaldito elaborated.
Wendell Alvarez, Sucaldito’s “Showbiz Mismo” co-host, refuted Revillame’s allegation in an ABS-CBN News interview, saying, “Wala namang sinabi si Jobert doon sa radio about sinisiraan siya. Ang sinabi lang ni Jobert ay tungkol doon sa 75 to 79 grades.
“Hindi niya sinabi na bobo. Ang sinabi niya bakit 75 to 79 ang kukunin, bakit hindi mataas? Para [ma-inspire] ang mga bata na mag-aral nang mabuti para makakuha ng 90 average grade para makapasok ako sa ‘Wowowee.’” Alvarez stressed out.
